Kilimanjaro Trek

15-26 September 2011

This charity trek takes you to one of the most magnificent sights in Africa. The route follows the remote north-eastern side of Kilimanjaro along the Rongai Trail.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world with 3 volcanoes (Kibo- 5896m, Mawenzi -5149m and Shira - 3962m) lying dormant for centuries.

In order to give participants the best chance of reducing incidences of altitude sickness, AcrossThe Divide have created an itinerary taking 7 days to summit - most operators offer 4.  A fully trained UK doctor with expedition and altitude experience, a full high altitude medical kit and oxygen, an experienced UK mountain leader will also be on hand for the trip.
