Backing Talent in Kent, 21 November 2010 and 20 November 2011

Sponsored by P&O Ferries and supported by Kent County Council, Backing Talent was greatly successful, with over 100 talented performers from all over Kent attending.
In attendance was Minister for Sport and Olympics Hugh Robertson. In discussing the event, Mr. Robertson said, "the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust has given these talented performers a real opportunity to develop their skills in a way they never could have imagined."
Charity Chair Dame Kelly Holmes ran her own workshop on the day, where she put the talented performers through their paces with an intense circuits session. Dame Kelly's presence definitely had an influence on the performers.
The double Olympic champion said: "Seeing the next generation of elite athletes here today, wanting to learn from these elite athletes has shown how important it is for people like me to 'give back' to sport.
"I wish I had this opportunity growing up but I'm glad I can now offer it to Kent's talented performers through the support of my charity."
