Backing Talent Projects

Manchester: 27-28 October 2009
Sponsored by BT, this was the first 'Backing Talent' organised by the Trust. The landmark event saw 70 young aspiring athletes from all over the north-west  learn from present and former world class athletes.

East London: 16 February 2010
Barking Abbey School was the host for the Trust's second 'Backing Talent' event. Supported by BT, the day really had an impact on the young athletes who came to learn from Dame Kelly and her team.

South-west: 2 June 2010
This was the first time the Trust had worked in this part of the country, and what a great success it proved. Funded by the South West Regional Talent Centre, the young athletes were able to enjoy a special circuits session led by Dame Kelly.

Kent: 21 November 2010
Held at the University of Kent and sponsored by P & O Ferries, 100 talented sports performers from all across the county came to learn from Dame Kelly and her team of elite athletes.
