Funded by Comic Relief and piloting in Knowsley, this 'Get on Track' was the first of its kind.
The innovative new programme was designed to make youngsters 'fit for employment' and offered vulnerable young people the opportunity to work with elite sports stars such as Dame Kelly.
The project, which was delivered in partnership with Greater Merseyside Connexions, saw young people take part in a range of practical workshops and activities designed to help them think about the steps and changes required to make a positive change on their lives.
Greater Merseyside Connexions' Kieran Gordon said: "This has been a wonderful opportunity for Knowsley's young people to benefit from the experience and energy of exceptional people such as Dame Kellly Holmes. Greater Merseyside Connexions is proud to be part of this and we hope that by continuing to work with these young people, we can help them achieve long term success."
