Get on Track: Southwark

Following on from the success of 'Get on Track's pilot in Knowsley, Southwark was the next destination for the charity to host a 'Get on Track' programme.

The programme, sponsored by Morgan Hunt, provided the Trust with a unique challenge in that we were working with sixteen year olds, many of whom were not confident about their futures after school.

The attendees of ths 'Get on Track' undertook a rangew of community-based challenges and activities, boosting their confidence, self-esteem and employability skills.

The challenges included Community Sports Coaching with Millwall Football Club on a holiday play scheme and a Dragon's Den-style challenge with charity partners and top recruitment firm Morgan Hunt.

The young people were mentored throughout the project by elite sports performers. Double Commonwealth champion Adam Whitehead mentored the Southwark youngsters alongside Extreme Inline Skating world champion Jenna Downing and BMX world champion Mike Mullen.
