Get on Track Programmes

You can read more about each of our 'Get on Track' programmes. We have held projects in the following areas:

Knowsley: 27 October 2009
Knowsley is where 'Get on Track' piloted. Delivered in partnership with Greater Merseyside Connexions, the innnovative programme aimed to get young people 'fit for work'.

Reading: 16 March 2010
Working in partnership with the John Madejski Academy, this project focused on working with young people from the Reading area. The young people took on a variety of challenges throughout this projoect including coaching sport in local primary schools.

Southwark: 13 July 2010
Sponsored by Morgan Hunt, our project in Southwark posed a unique challenge in the respect that the Trust was working with 16 year olds who were then lacking direction in their lives.

Salford: 11 January 2011
Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, we are working with young people in a community-based project. In a slightly different format of this flagship project, the young people are generating much interest from the local community from their work.

Reading: 8 March 2011
We were back in Reading working with young people in partnership with the John Madejski Academy. With this project recently completed, there is a great chance of this group going to achieve some fantastic things in their lives.

Haringey: 27 September 2011
On this UBS-sponsored project, we were  working in partnership with the Octagon, a Pupil Referral Unit in north London.

Lewisham: 25 October 2011
In a project funded by LOCOG CEO Paul Deighton and the Mayor of London's Sports Participation Fund, Trust athlete mentors supported young people from all across Lewisham.
