Jane Middleton

Jane joins the Trust with a wealth of experience gained from her high profile roles in several multi-national companies, including Virgin Atlantic Airways.

As well as her extensive employment history, Jane is a member of the Institute of Directors and has experience in the charity sector as the Treasurer of both the UK Aviation Club and The Air League As well as being a Trustee of the Royal Air Force Museum she is the Chair of the Royal Aeronautical Society's Finance Board.

Jane spent over three years at Cockpit Holdings, a firm she joined in 1993, where she managed the company's accounting system. In 1996 Jane became Assitant Treasury Manager for Pizza Hut, where she managed the banking requirements for 350 restaurants.

April of 1997 brought Jane to the aviation industry, where she became the financial controller of Air Cargo Partners, a subsidiary of Virgin Atlantic Airways. Jane's core work included selling businesses and raising funds for expansion from lease-backs, banks and other sources.

In October of 1999 Jane became Cargo Operations Manager of Virgin Atlantic Airways. Jane was in this role for two years until she joined TNT Express, where she worked directly with the Managing Director on all aspects of finance, legal contracts and strategic planning.

Jane was with TNT Express until March 2004, when she joined Rockwell Collins Ltd as Finance Director. In this role Jane was responsible for commercial contracts, treasury, export compliance and all elements of finance.

Jane left Rockwell in September 2011 to set up her own consultancy working with ambitious small and medium enterprises to grow their businesses.
