Bryan Steel - Further Information
Giving back to sport:
Now retired, Bryan is continuing to work in sport for a number of charities and associations. His main role is relationship manger for RAMP (Respect Athlete Mentor Programme) a government funded scheme working with the former "respect areas" which supports disaffected and disengaged young people in order to develop a different pathway in life though sport. Bryan has also designed and delivered Athlete Support Programmes for Sport Nottinghamshire and Sport Lincolnshire gifted and talented schemes. He also does motivational public speaking for number of large companies and associations.
Bryan is also involved with the following associations:
- Anti-drug ambassador and a qualified tutor for the UK sport 100% ME project
- A member of the Sporting champion for Sport England and regional leader for the East Midlands
- A patron of the Thomley activity centre Oxfordshire
- A board member of the Sport Nottinghamshire
- A sporting hero for the East Midlands Advocates Project
- A member of the athletes direct access scheme
DKH Legacy Trust:
Bryan will soon be taking part in the Making Headway Nottingham Inspiring Lives. He has also been involved with a number of Backing Talent Manchester and East London projects as an Athlete Mentor.
