Ross Davenport - Olympian/Double Commonweath Champion - Swimming

Biography:

Ross had his first win in the swimming pool at the age of eight and only really started swimming because his older brother, Ashley, could swim.

In 2006 Ross, freestyle swimmer and Double Commonwealth Games Gold medallist won the acclaimed BBC East Midlands Sports Personality of the Year. An award that was won in 2005 by Derbyshire-born yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur.

Ross is a member of the Loughborough University swimming club, coached by Ben Titley and trains at Loughborough University.

Born in Belper, Derbyshire he now lives and trains in Loughborough.
