With the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trusts' Inaugural Golf Day only a few months away, preparations for the May 12 are on course (excuse the pun), and we are now pleased to announce a title sponsor for the event, K2 Performance Systems.
K2 aim to help the corporate world, prepare and perform like elite athletes. Some call what they do; performance psychology others say its high performance coaching. In a nutshell, they simply aim to help its customers do what they can do, but don't.
Howard Davis, Commercial Director at K2 said, "The link between what the Trust does, and what we do is extremely similar, this is why we felt we had to get involved.
We believe that Elite athletes and world class coaches know a lot about high performance because they practice so much to compete relatively little.
We take the science behind what these people know and bring it to life with coaches who love applying ideas to every high performance arena, allowing you to realise your potential and turn it into performance."
The charity Golf Day consists of teams signing up with 3 players, and the 4th member of the team; a sporting celebrity. Steve Backley, Mark Foster and Clare Balding have all signed up, to name just a few. The 4 of them then take to the 18 hole course to learn, laugh and experience the prestigious London Club course.
We have seen a remarkable interest in the day, both from sporting celebrities and teams. With the day quickly approaching we are now looking to secure those final team slots, so if you would be interested in playing a round of golf with a sporting celebrity, whilst also raising essential funds for Dame Kelly's Charity, then please do get in touch via james.robinson@dkhlegacytrust.org
